Project overview.
A commercial wellness and media studio conversion of approximately 4,250 square feet in Frisco, Texas, delivered by MASACO as general contractor on an expedited 5 week schedule. The space had to serve three functions at once: wellness treatment, retail, and media production.
Scope of work.
- Full interior renovation including flooring, paint, and demolition
- Electrical upgrades and LED flat panel lighting installation
- Conversion of the waiting area into a cross-functional podcast studio
- Installation of acoustic wall panels
- Custom front desk fabrication and installation
- Interior signage installation
- Custom-built water filtration fountain system
The challenge.
An aggressive timeline that required accelerated trade sequencing. Electrical, acoustic, millwork, plumbing for the fountain system, and finishes all had to move at the same time without one trade undoing another’s work. We coordinated the specialty scopes simultaneously and sequenced inspections so nothing waited.
Outcome.
A fully operational space delivered in 5 weeks. Wellness, retail, and media functions were integrated in one floor plan, and the client opened on a compressed schedule with the custom desk, studio, and fountain all complete.
